What is e-MedSolution? |
MedSolution was originally developed by IBM, as an integrated Hospital Information System (HIS) based on IBM's 40 years of experience in hospital IT.
e-MedSolution is an enhanced version of this system, using IBM WebSphere and JAVA technologies.
e-MedSolution is an Electronic Patient Workfile System, or a system in which patients' historical and current data are organized according to the problem/symptom/illness/diagnosis structure.
e-MedSolution is a web-based application, which means that in addition to users being able to access its services from the hospital's network (VPN/LAN), it is also available through the Internet with mobile devices (PDA, Tablet PC) and also with GPRS mobile Internet.
In e-MedSolution, secure data access is ensured by 64-bit encryption common to banking card transactions, but it is also capable of using hardware keys.

Use of Protocols |
Institutions may prescribe therapeutic protocols associated to each illness, thus providing a mandatory guide for the doctor for his therapy. This can assist in preventing both under treatment and the inconveniences and extra costs resulting from unnecessary interventions.

EPWF Patient and diagnosis-focused data management |
Traditional hospital information systems have accumulated an enormous wealth of data. They store data about millions of patients. Still, they are unable to assist doctors in determining the diagnosis, they are unable to support the physician in making decisions based on previous case data. With EPWF, this becomes a thing of the past: data in the system can be organized according to the patient's symptoms/diagnosis. Naturally, all cases associated with the symptoms and their data, such as laboratory tests, X-rays, CT, MRI, pathology results can be retrieved.
